Phonar | HiFi from the far north
The story of the Phonar Company began over 35 years ago. At the beginning, Germany’s most northern HiFi manufacturer produced, in the main, loudspeakers for international markets and continues to do so for current consumer electronic outlets. As many as 1000 loudspeakers, which in those days were named Scan Akustik, left the Tarp factory daily. In the early 1980s, in order avoid dependency on a small number of mass merchandisers, the company founder, Klaus Henningsen, decided to establish his own loudspeaker brand under the name ‘Phonar’.
